A Keeper's desk and an Apprentice's workshop

You forge and assign. He quests, plays, reads, and builds. Everything he makes is kept.

🔥

The Forge

Draft any lesson from a topic and grade level — by template, or with your own local AI model. You review and confirm every one before it reaches your child. Thousands of possible lessons, always under your hand.

🔍

Points to Consider

The rare feature: lessons flag where evidence conflicts, who benefits from a claim, and how to weigh a study. It teaches a child to ask "says who, and how do they know?" — the one skill that outlasts every fact.

📖

The Reading Room

Read the classics on-screen — highlight, bookmark, take notes, and search every note by subject. Import any free book. A whole literature spine, ready to mark up.

🎲

The Game Hall

Guild trivia, a real Morse audio trainer, adaptive Math Blitz, and knot cards. Learning that feels like Duolingo met a blacksmith.

🎨

The Studio & Vault

Letter-tracing, drawing, and journaling on a real canvas — all saved into folders. Every drawing, entry, and finished quest, kept and searchable.

🏅

Stars, not grades

No A–F. Feedback, a stamp of Complete, and a gold star for work done well. Send sealed "High Praise" coupons with real-world prizes your child unwraps in-app.

📝

Semester exams & mastery

Exams auto-assemble from the lessons your child has actually completed, scored out of 100%. Below 50% means "not yet mastered" — retakeable, never a dead end. A Report Card dashboard with gauges and charts shows mastery at a glance.

🛡️

Badges & Guild Certificates

A badge is struck for every rank completed in a guild — a collectible wall from Hatchling to Elder Candidate. Complete all five ranks and print a formal Certificate of Guild Completion for the portfolio.

📊

Reports & a printable transcript

Charts show where the work is landing and which guilds have gone quiet. Print a proper yearly transcript — letterhead, hours, exam scores, distinctions, mastery standing — that looks like a real school issued it, because your portfolio deserves to be taken seriously.

The backbone of the whole school

Not what to think. How.

Three lessons run through everything else — the difference between a child who memorizes and one who can't be fooled by anyone, in any direction.

1

Says Who?

The two questions that protect a mind for life: who's making this claim, and how would they know? A confident voice is not evidence.

2

Weigh a Study

Five checks — sample size, control, replication, funding, primary source. Judge the method, never the calendar year.

3

When Experts Change Their Minds

How to tell an honest correction from a real failure — without reflexively trusting authority, and without reflexively distrusting it.

"A person who reflexively believes authority and one who reflexively distrusts it have the same problem: they've outsourced their thinking. Elderforge trains a child to do neither."

Sovereign by design

An honest fit

Who this is for

✓ Made for you if…

  • You homeschool — or want to supplement a child already in school
  • You value privacy and offline-first tools
  • You want a framework you shape, not a script you follow
  • You'd rather teach thinking than memorization
  • You like the idea of owning your tools outright

Not for you if…

  • You want an accredited, hands-off, do-it-for-me program
  • You need automatic grading and a diploma issued for you
  • You won't review lessons before assigning them
  • You want cloud sync across devices out of the box
Read this before you buy

Elderforge is a curriculum framework and toolkit, not an accredited or certified program. Lessons are drafted starting points — some AI-assisted — meant for a parent-educator to review, verify, and adapt before teaching. It does not issue an official diploma. You remain the teacher of record. Requirements vary across North America, so verify your own region's rules with your local education authority (e.g. state or provincial homeschool registration and graduation requirements), and note that many colleges expect standardized test scores (SAT / ACT / CLT in the US) from homeschooled applicants even where tests are "optional."

Before you ask

Questions

Do I really only pay once?
Yes. One payment, one download, yours forever. There is no subscription and nothing to renew. Future updates, if any, are offered separately — your copy keeps working regardless.
What if I lose the file or get a new tablet?
Your storefront (Gumroad or similar) keeps a permanent library tied to your purchase email. Log in and re-download anytime, onto as many of your own devices as you like. You never pay again.
Does it really work offline?
Yes. It's a single HTML file with no external dependencies — no cloud, no fonts fetched, no tracking. Open it with the wifi off and everything works: lessons, games, reader, notes, transcript. The only optional online-ish feature is connecting your own local AI model, entirely on your own hardware.
Where is my child's data stored?
In your browser, on your device, and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to us or anyone. Export a backup file anytime; that backup is the only copy that exists, and only you hold it.
What devices does it run on?
Any modern browser — laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone. It's designed to feel at home on a shared kitchen tablet.
Is this an accredited school or diploma?
No. It's a framework and toolkit for a parent-educator. You remain the teacher of record and should confirm your own region's homeschool and graduation requirements — these vary by state and province across North America. Many colleges also expect standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, or CLT in the US) from homeschooled applicants, so plan for those. The printable transcript is a professional-looking portfolio document, not a government-issued diploma.
Can I use it for more than one child?
Yes — keep a separate copy of the file per child (each file is its own private school), or back up and swap. Everything is local, so there's no per-seat anything.
